About the campaign

Malaria is unfairly stealing our futures. We are the generation that will end this disease for good.

For years malaria – and now covid – has prevented us from going to school, working and building our futures. We won’t allow malaria to stop us achieving our potential.

Together we can take our future back. Zero Malaria is a movement uniting people around the world to come together so we can demand urgent action from our world leaders to at beating malaria.

Our oldest and deadliest enemy

Malaria we’re too strong for you. Join us so together we can beat this unfair disease. Zero Malaria began in Senegal in 2014 as a grassroots campaign, known as Zero Malaria Starts With Me. Since then, the movement has grown across Africa, increasing awareness as well as empowering individuals and communities - like you and I - so we all have the tools we need to fight this disease. You can find out more about their achievements here.

Now, we need to get the message even further, so we’re calling on you, communities, institutions and world leaders.

A message made of lines

Through the special, visual, malaria language, known as the Muundo, people are adding their message to a global mural to fight malaria. We will be delivering this collective message to world leaders at the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

Draw your line against malaria

Malaria is holding us back

Malaria is stopping children from going to school, families from earning a living and perpetuating the cycle of poverty. We refuse to stand by and let a preventable and treatable disease hold us back any longer.

The world has made incredible progress beating malaria over the past 20 years - but with investments stalling and the rapid spread of covid, progress has been put at risk.

By coming together we’ll be able to beat the world’s oldest disease. By giving a voice to individuals, connecting communities with leaders, and uniting everyone in solidarity behind the malaria fight we know we can end it once and for all. By drawing a line against malaria today we’ll re-focus commitments to end malaria, saving millions of more lives.

In 2018 the world came together to demand urgent action against malaria. We must make sure our World Leaders renew their commitments to ending this deadly disease within a generation. The decisions we ask our political leaders to make now will decide whether we achieve this or not. The lives of millions of families hang in the balance.
